| Infromation | The Iwakami Gongen Kurobe is a 200 to 300 year old evergreen conifer in the Akamatsu district. Many people worship the tree, which overlooks the countryside with its large branches stretched wide. It is one of the largest trees in Japan and has been selected among the "100 giant forest trees." Next to the Kurobe is the 25 meter tall "Iwakami Gongen cedar tree." |
