| Infromation | The Sabaneyama Jizoson is one of the three grand Jizos Buddhist statues of Japan and was enshrined around 1,000 years ago. Many people pray to the statue for matchmaking, the birth of children, and longevity. Nearby is another monument engraved with a Matsuo Basho poem describing the view of the Mogami River from Sabaneyama Pass. |
