| Infromation | As its Japanese name would imply, "Mori no Ie" is a farm amidst forest, run by the Sato family, who have passed down a tradition of vegetable growing for over 400 years. The "Jingoemon Potato" is their specialty. Sweet and soft, this potato is used in Yamagata's famous "Imoni" stew as well as western dishes. A potato festival is held between mid to late October each year, during which visitors can experience potato picking. The farm also offers accommodation for people who wish to stay overnight. |
