| Infromation | The "Kaitosai" is a festival for thanking the gods of hot springs and commemorating the people who protected Hijiori Onsen. The Jizo Buddhist statue enshrined above the public bath is placed on a mikoshi palanquin and carried throughout the hot spring town. Between late July and mid September, the "Hijiori lanterns" are lit in town during the evenings to create a magnificent atmosphere. |
