| Infromation | "Sakegawa Kabuki" is preserved as an intangible cultural property by the prefecture. Its origins are old and the play was passed down from Kabuki actors during the Edo period(17-19C). There was a time when performances were suspended, but they have since resumed. A preservation society was established, and shows are regularly held once a year. Visitors can also experience wearing Kabuki makeup and costumes. |
